Aaron Lloyd
Aaron Lloyd was an attorney at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel for 10 years in the Investigation and Prosecution Division (IPD), enforcing federal whistleblower protections and investigating cases of alleged prohibited personnel practices. More recently, he spent the last three years at the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE), first as a Special Assistant General Counsel working for CIGIE’s Integrity Committee, and then as Deputy General Counsel to CIGIE as a whole. Finally, from July 2025 to January 2026, he served as Acting General Counsel for CIGIE. He previously worked in employment and labor law as an associate in a private law firm in Washington, D.C.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., he received a B.A. in political science from Colorado College, his M.A. in history from Yale University, and graduated magna cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law. Before his legal career, Aaron taught United States and World History for two years at the Bullis School in Potomac, MD.
