“The state Department of Environmental Conservation is blocking the use of a popular pesticide for mosquito control upstate and in New York City following the revelation that the chemicals’ containers were made with hazardous PFAS compounds.
Late last year, the Maryland-based Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility tested a jug of Anvil 10+10 and found relatively high levels of PFAS. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has also tested a number of containers and found the chemicals as well.”
