Jacob Malcom
Jacob is the founder and Executive Director of Next Interior, which envisions a strong and supported U.S. Department of the Interior that is able to realize its full potential in serving the Nation and whose work includes advocating for the Department, imagining what a strong future looks like, and supporting the people of the Department who make it happen. He was previously a senior executive in the Office of the Secretary of the Interior, a vice president and conservation policy analyst in the nongovernmental world before that, and a field biologist with the US Fish and Wildlife Service before that. When not working on serving people, nature, and climate, Jacob is probably out with his family and friends biking, trekking, packrafting, and camping, looking for plants and critters and enjoying our public lands and waters—most often, those managed and stewarded by the Department of the Interior.
