The Trump administration and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced its intentions to close its 11 environmental justice offices across the country. This announcement follows threats from the administration to terminate billions of dollars in federal funding, which were Congressionally approved to protect the health and environment of the American public.
Decisions like these will impact thousands of communities across the country and will remove hundreds of public service workers and union members from their positions serving communities.
These are the stories of impacted federal workers on the importance of environmental justice at EPA. Federal workers in this video have asked to remain anonymous due to fear of retaliation.
