PEERMail | Taking Action to Protect Federal Employees

Tags: ,

This holiday season, our work continues at breakneck speed.

In a new development, PEER is proud to be representing several employees at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) who have filed legal challenges to their recent firings for signing a letter of dissent warning that EPA’s actions under this administration were endangering public health and the environment.

The basis of the challenges includes that they were fired for exercising their First Amendment right to free speech and in illegal retaliation for their perceived political affiliations.

The past year has been the beginning of a new long-term fight to support those who believe in protecting the environment, a nonpartisan civil service, and an honest and transparent government.

These latest legal challenges on behalf of EPA employees are part of this effort. We are grateful that you are part of our work.

Sincerely,

Tim Whitehouse
Executive Director

P.S. Thank you for considering an end-of-year gift to PEER. Your support means a lot to us and those we work with.
