“At President Trump’s order, national parks across the country will reopen “as rapidly as possible,” Interior Secretary David Bernhardt said in a weekend tweet.
The advocacy group Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility said the Park Service must take steps to curb overcrowding and urged officials to follow a long-neglected 1978 law that requires parks to establish “carrying capacities for all areas.””
