Lawsuit: Return ‘Teddy bear’ to Endangered List

“The lawsuit led by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) with co-counsel Atchafalaya Basinkeeper said the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service used “false assumptions and shoddy science” to make its decision for removal. Restoring the Teddy bear population in Louisiana and having it removed from the list had been among the primary goals of then Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Secretary Robert Barham, who served eight years under former Gov. Bobby Jindal.”
