Law Clerk
Raissi Bysiewicz
Raissi is a 2L at Georgetown Law where she focuses on environmental and energy law. Last summer, she served as the Roger E. Koontz Fellow in Law and Climate Policy at Acadia Center, where she researched legal issues regarding renewable energy finance, governance and approaches for reforming the New England power grid to achieve emissions reductions targets while protecting disproportionately impacted communities. She holds a B.A. in English and political science from Tulane University in New Orleans, where she developed her passion for climate change mitigation. She has extensive experience campaigning for politicians committed to protecting the environment and public interest, as well as organizing to fight the buildout of fossil fuel infrastructure in the Gulf South. Raissi aspires to use her law degree to contribute to a greener, more equitable world and is so excited to be working at the nexus of employee and climate rights this semester with PEER.
